Hea 9: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

Aim : To recognize and encourage a healthy internal environment through the specification of internal finishes and fittings with low emissions of VOCs.

Paint and sealants on all Clestra’s panels do not contain any VOCs. The polyester mix lacquers use a base of inert organic pigments. Complete absence of VOCs or any other dangerous emissions, throughout the lifecycle.

About the wood panel range, either the panels do not have any emission or they are E1 certified according to BS EN 717-1:2004. Any other type of coating requested by a contractor must be the subject of a supplier environmental impact study.
